Supported Employment Programs

The ASLS Career Resource Centers in Grimshaw and Fairview offer all Albertans FREE use of a computer station, printer, fax and photocopier to assist them with their career searches, schooling enquiries, and resume preparation. Employment Specialists are available at both locations to provide assistance to persons looking to enhance their careers as well as to help anyone who may be unemployed, under-employed, have left school early, or who are just looking for work.

The Work In  Progress program in Slave Lake promotes the value of employing people with  employment barriers through maximizing each individual’s employability in the  work place. This program also provides assistance in establishing strong  community connections with local labour markets, organizations, and community  members.  Individual Program Plans are designed to be flexible based on each individual and their current level of skills.
