The FASD Knot was designed
at FAS world Canada
in memory of
Abel Dorris (1968-91)
whose story was
told in the book,
The Broken Cord by
his father Michael Dorris.
The FASD Program offers the following services to communities in the Peace River and Grande Prairie areas:
- Diagnostic Services (children and adults)
- Supports for caregivers of children either having or suspected of having FASD
- Supports for adults either having or suspected of having FASD (Grande Prairie area only)
- Mentorship using the P-CAP model for women of child-bearing years, women who are pregnant , and women up to six months pregnancy who use substances
- A Resource Library
- Referrals
- Education
